Game, Sam and Match

They Are Fans but WeAreTennis can make their dreams come true.  It is what happened last week when WeAreTennis and BNP Paribas held a competition “Catch the Golden Ball”  on the social networks (Twitter and Facebook) to win tickets to go to Roland Garros (Saturday, June 2nd, Philippe Chatrier court).  Categories 1, 2, 3?  You are kidding!  Almost 70 people were in the Loges VIP stand.  But this surprise was not the only one, there was the cherry on the cake.  They were about to meet a WTA top 10 player.  Who?  Nobody knew until…  “maybe noon or 1:00pm”, said a fan.  Nobody remembers what time it was.  Who can say what time it is when you are dreaming?  But it was not a dream, this champion had a name: Samantha Stosur – world #6 – appeared suddenly smiling brightly.

Marianne and her sister were one of these lucky people who had the opportunity to talk to our favourite Aussie tennis player. “I was glad to see her because I like her very much. Sam is not only an amazing tennis player but also a super nice person.”

After spending twenty minutes with her fans (signing/photos sessions), the US Open champion changed into an English teacher, translating Aussie expressions/slang for Eli Weinstein.  Sammy: if all teachers were as cool as you are, nobody would perform poorly at school anymore.

Last set for Sammy: to play the game “On Air” and comment a point of the match: Monica Seles / Mary Pierce.

After drinking a glass of champagne, it was time for fans to go back on courts. “It was an amazing day! Thank you WeAreTennis, BNP Paribas, Roland Garros and thanks a lot to Sam for this unforgettable day”, Marianne said.

Thanks a lot to WeAreTennis and Marianne B.
